Mr. Edward Perry arrived at Ruston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after being hospitalized and spending two weeks in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility. He suffered a skull fracture and a traumatic brain injury from a fall at home, which also resulted in a shattered right eardrum. Due to diabetes, his vision is poor, but he was independent before his fall.

Mr. Perry is a retired civil engineer who has a passion for music. He enjoyed playing songs for the nursing home staff using his Alexa. During his stay at the facility, he received physical and occupational therapy.

He was able to return home with his wife in less than three weeks, walking with a rolling walker and independently managing his self-care tasks. Now, Mr. Perry exercises every day at home by riding a stationary bike while listening to his favorite music.
